Russian president sends message to KazanForum, emphasizing ties with Islamic World

KAZAN, TATARSTAN, RUSSIA - MAY 16: Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message to KazanForum 2025 on Friday, May 16, expressing confidence that the forum would enhance dialogue and strengthen partnerships among participating countries. In his message delivered during the Russia-Islamic World: Strategic Vision Group session, held as part of the forum, for which Anadolu is the global communication partner, Putin highlighted Russia's centuries-long cooperation with Islamic nations. Despite challenging global conditions, Russia continues to expand economic, scientific, educational, cultural, humanitarian, and regional ties, according to the country's president. "Tatarstan is one of those subjects of the Russian Federation that are most actively building such fruitful and constructive relations," he said. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stressed that developing relations with Islamic countries is a priority for Russia's foreign policy. He emphasized the Strategic Vision Group's unifying role, as well as the importance of preserving traditional moral and spiritual values amid geopolitical turbulence.
