Ouch! Man Bounces Off Crashpad and Into Ground While Bouldering at Castle Rock
A rock climber captured the moment he took a tumble while bouldering in Castle Rock State Park, California. This footage shows Zeno Schaekers lifting his right arm upwards as he attempts to creep up the rock. He fails to secure his grip and slips off, falling backwards and onto his crashpad. Unfortunately for Schaekers, the pad did little to break his fall, instead bouncing him towards an unprotected part of the ground and resulting in the climber grunting in pain. "The placements of the crashpads (the safety falling mats) was not ideal, resulting in me hitting the ground and falling out of frame," the source told Storyful.
