Residents of a neighborhood in Saratoga Springs, Utah, got their daily dose of exercise on March 17, despite being https://www.wsj.com/articles/quake-rocks-utah-during-corona-lockdown-11584555701 advised to quarantine to counteract the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to a mass Zumba session. Inspired by neighborhoods in Italy singing from their balconies, local residents Heather Doney and Erin Stewart decided to organize a 45-minute Zumba class for the community. Doney is a former Zumba instructor and she led the session from her porch, with both adults and children from neighboring households joining in on the workout. Amid health and economy fears, the Zumba session served as a great morale booster, Doney told Storyful. Schools have been shut down in the area and Doney can't work because the warehouse that employs her is in lockdown. Doney said, "We just wanted to spread some joy. Everybody loved it." Doney's husband, Daniel, recorded the footage and uploaded it to YouTube. He told Storyful that the community had "so much fun doing this workout as neighbors and friends at this time of stress and uncertainty." He added, "We plan to do this a couple of times a week."
