Researcher comments on CIA document redactions at hearing on declassified JFK assassination files
Researcher James DiEugenio says in prepared testimony at the House Oversight and Government Reform Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets' first hearing on the assassination of late President John Kennedy that an important Schlesinger memo was censored by the CIA, particularly regarding CIA control of the State Department and undercover operations in the Paris office where agents were trying to overthrow de Gaulle, with the CIA version cutting the memo by 60% and redacting 40% of the remaining pages.
