ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - SEPTEMBER 11: Renowned Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi said that he draws inspiration from nature in his compositions. In an interview with Anadolu, Einaudi said that his compositions are deeply influenced by nature. “Especially in the world we are living now there is so much beauty in what we could have in the planet that it's horrible to see what we are doing to the planet, to the other people and so I think nature is a lesson that we all should learn from,� he said. Einaudi highlighted that the complexity and diversity of nature serve as a significant source of inspiration. “For me, the complexity of nature is very inspiring because it's a world that you can explore in different ways and it has always something to say to you,� he added. “I mean even observing the smallest things of nature, of the trees, of the clouds, of the animals, it's like learning something.� The composer, known for his work on film scores such as The Water Diviner, The Intouchables, Nomadland, and April, as well as the series Doctor Zhivago, discussed the differences between composing for film and working on solo projects. “In the soundtracks, you have a frame that is defined by someone else. It's a story written by someone, there's a film and you have to stay in that frame. It's interesting because it's a sort of collaboration and could take you to a journey that you couldn't predict and do by yourself alone. With my own music I am the one that has to define the frame and create the story around it and then I mean I have collaboration because I play with other musicians and then we all get together to make this happen but I am in a way the director of the project.
