Racegoers brave the rain for the opening day of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival. Among the punters was fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper. Cheltenham’s cross-country course will have to pass an 8am inspection on Wednesday if the Glenfarclas Chase is to go ahead that afternoon. Overnight rain has resulted in further easing of the going ahead of the start of the 2024 Festival, with the ground currently described as soft, heavy in places on the main course while the cross-country track is waterlogged in places.
