Psychiatrist, Dr. Derek Miller, speaks about the older and younger generations of men. He comments, "To some extent, every new generation needs to be different from the generation behind it. It's very difficult to find ways of being different from the old generation. They have so many things, it's difficult to find things...to be different with. Um, hair and clothes are a marvellous way of saying, 'I am me, I am not you'. I think there's particular difficulties for the older generation in this, because when they were adolescent, that is, the parents of the present generation, they didn't have the sort of adolescence that present day youth had.
