President Joe Biden tells observers gathered in Emancipation Hall of the United States Capitol Visitors Center for the 2024 Days of Remembrance Holocaust Memorial Ceremony that even in difficult times that all must remember that they also occur during the month celebrating Jewish American heritage that has enriched every part of American life from the early days, calling great Jewish Americans like Tom Lantos to say the "veneer of civilization is paper thin," so we as guardians can never rest and must rise against hate, cross divides, see common humanity, and honor Holocaust victims, survivors and resilient hearts.
