Organ Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici says on World Oceans Day each minute the equivalent of entire garbage truck of plastic is dumped into the oceans that endanger Marine life, that the health of oceans reflects the health of earth, that the oceans absorb CO2 produced by human activity increasing carbon emissions that stress oceans and threaten the livelihood of coastal communities, that as oceans become more acidic, shellfish struggle, oysters and clams are vulnerable and the ocean is resilient but none can afford to wait.
