Oregon Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici says at a news conference with House Natural Resources Committee Democrats on energy and environment provisions in a budget reconciliation package known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that she represents the district where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean which is magnificent and beautiful but the bill is not beautiful as it will hand over Oregon's public lands to Big Oil and polluters, gut trails and salmon streams and hunting grounds while repealing clean energy tax credits, forcing families to pay more since fossil fuels cost more while fossil fuel company CEOs cash in, and Republicans claim an energy emergency but support the dangerous unsustainable fossil fuel industry that hurts people, planet and wildlife while slashing good paying solar, wind and geothermal jobs.
