January 23 2015 - David Cameron promises EU referendum.
June 23 2016 - UK votes to leave the EU.
July 13 2016 - David Cameron leaves Downing Street, Theresa May becomes PM.
March 2019 2017 - Theresa May triggers Article 50.
April 18 - Theresa May announces snap general election.
June 8 2017 - Theresa May loses her majority.
November 14 - Cabinet agree to draft Brexit withdrawal agreement.
January 15 2019 - MPs reject Brexit plans in historic Commons vote.
January 16 2019 - Thersea May survives vote of no confidence from Jeremy Corbyn.
March 20 - EU grants UK a Brexit extension.
May 23 2019 - The Brexit Party comes out on top during European elections.
May 24 2019 - Theresa May announces she is stepping down as Tory Party leader.
July 23 2019 - Boris Johnson elected leader of Tory Party and becomes PM.
August 20 2019 - The EU rejects Boris Johnson's Brexit deal.
August 28 2019 - The Queen accepts PM's request to prorogue Parliament.
September 4 2019 - MPS vote for bill to stop no-deal Brexit.
September 3 2019 - Tory whip suspended but does not trigger general election.
September 24 2019 - Supreme Court rules Parliament's suspension was unlwaful.
October 10 2019 - PM announces UK has "great deal" with EU.
October 19 2019 - MPS sit on Saturday for first time in 37 years to vote on new deal.
December 13 2019 - Boris Johnson wins 80 seat majority in General Election.
January 9 2020 - MPs pass Withdrawal Agreement in Commons.
January 22 2020 - Johnson's Withdrawal Agreement clears House of Lords.
January 31 2020 - Britain to leave European Union.
