Historical city known for sandstorms: Hadhramaut

HADRAMAWT, YEMEN - JUNE 30: On Friday (June 30), the Anadolu captured footage of the Hadramawt region, located on the slopes of the rugged Hadramawt mountain range in South Arabia, which encompasses eastern Yemen. The Hadhramaut region, also known as Hadramawt, is known for its historical architectural buildings. Its proximity to the desert results in frequent sandstorms. Known for its diverse topography, Hadhramaut features a narrow coastal plain, the impressive Hadhramaut Mountains, also referred to as the Mahrat Mountains, which extend into Oman's Dhofar Mountains. The historical 'Hanzal Bazaar,' dates back approximately a hundred years, located in Hadhramaut, stands as a popular destination for both locals and foreigners, following a restoration that aligns with the city's texture. Hanzal Bazaar, located right next to the Seyun Palace, one of the world's largest adobe structures, boasts four entrances. In the bazaar, one can find a variety of items for sale, including nuts, dates, sweets, souvenirs, henna, and incense. The bazaar also features Duan honey, which is claimed by Yemenis to be the "world's finest".(Footage by Ali Ebubekir Tokcan/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
