2012 Olympic Gold medal winning gymnast Jordyn Wieber tells members of a Senate subcommittee that she thought training for the Olympics would be the hardest thing she would ever do but instead that would be processing that she was a victim of Larry Nassar, wondering how she was betrayed by him and everyone at the USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic committee whom were trusted to be on her side. Wieber says Nassar began treating her at the age of eight, a miracle worker who could fix anything and had gained her trust, a safe person of sorts but athletes at the Karyoli Ranch National Training Center are motivated by fear of being treated as invisible if they did not perform, through extremely rigorous exercise for up to 35 hours a week, a toxic environment that was the perfect place for a predator like Nassar to flourish.
