The purpose of this report is to dig a little deeper into those grievances, and to do this I teamed up with Ernest Eytle, West Indian cricket commentator and journalist who's lived in this country 21 years. Ernest and I came down to Notting Hill together. He interviewed white people and I interviewed black people: .......... Dubbed: MS Reggie and Eytle walk, down street and stop and speak to two men: MS Eytle and White Boy: Have had trouble in the district from black people - walking along the road on your own sometimes and they tell you to get off the pavement - has seen fights going on - (Q: You were telling me about living in a house with a club underneath you?) He doesn't live in the house, but he's seen it - majority of blacks in the area are bad - got the worst in Notting Hill - they've got girls on the game and all that: CMS Reggie and Nigerian Man: Comes from Nigeria - is studying here - he was attacked last week - he was at the pictures and on his return found the windows of his house had been smashed to pieces - has no idea why it happened - never expected such a thing - it's made him fed up and he's going to move from the area: CS Ernest and Cafe owner (white) Owns cafe - serves both races in district - but not now because they don't come in - has not barred anybody from cafe - wouldn't say black people shouldn't live in district, but there is a large element that should be taken out - such as those living on women etc., that is rather bad in th...
