North Carolina Congresswoman Kathy Manning says at a press conference following passage by 420 votes of a resolution commending the bravery, courage, and resolve of the women and men of Iran demonstrating in more than 133 cities that security forces there have reportedly used live ammunition and tear gas against protesters and killed more than 300 people including at least 40 children, the United States must stand unified against the oppressive Iranian regime and stand up for the Iranian people whose basic human rights are being violated, and that the Iranian people deserve justice and accountability.
