Congressman Murphy cites marijuana risks to adolescents, pregnant women in decriminalization debate

North Carolina Congressman Greg Murphy says in debate opposing the MORE Act to decriminalize and tax marijuana that Surgeon General Jerome Adams agreed there are serious health risks associated with the use of marijuana in adolescents and pregnancy, the bill failed to set any standards to prevent THC concentrated taping products or edibles from getting into the hands of teenagers and young adults whose brains were still developing, nor would prevent distribution marijuana to minors and disrespected state rights by failing to prevent violence and use of firearms in the growing and distributing of cannabis.
