Jennifer Lopez: (Laughs) No, I always wanted to be in show business, and my mother as very encouraging. You know, she took us to dance classes and all this kind of stuff. But the, once you start getting into school and into boys and stuff, you forget about it for a while. But once I was back in high school again - during the grammar school years I kind of left it a little bit, but once I got back into high school I started doing plays at school and all this kind of stuff. And when I actually first told them that - - I was supposed to be going to college in the Fall and I told them that I wanted to go into show business, that I had this dream and I was supposed to be in show business and that I wasn’t going to go to college in the Fall. And my mother freaked out, and my father kind of believed me. I guess he’s spiritual in that way. Maybe I got a sign from something or whatever. Um, but I did it. They let me go off and try my own thing for a little while, and it worked out for the best. Eight months later I got a tour to go to Europe on a musical.
