- saying there is corruption and nepotism amongst politicians of all parties / danger of internal strife in Nigeria swept army into power
- some of soldiers are more intelligent and patriotic than politicians
- no special reason for coup here, have been coups in many other places
- most African countries are ruled by men from old brigade who accept corruption, nepatism, greed as virtues - some progressive elements believe this is not age for corruption
- hope Balewa is found alive but his weakness is partially responsible for current situation
- wouldn't want him to get his old job back
