Basement Window Shatters as Floodwaters Inundate Utah Home

Danny Warner and his daughter were watching the storm from their home in Orem when "it hit me that our newly finished basement hadn't ever experienced this level of crazy," he told Storyful. The family rushed downstairs to find their window wells filling with water. Warner said the basement "quickly became a scene from Jaws" after the floodwaters caused the window to break and cut his father's legs "deep enough to earn him a trip to the hospital and eight stitches in each leg." Warner said several people from his church heard what was happening and came to help remove water from the basement.
