Congressman Higgins on Insurance Executive Compensation at Markup on ACA Replacement

New York Congressman Brian Higgins of the House Ways and Means Committee says that the American healthcare act would allow insurance companies to claim executive compensation as a business expense and deduct that from taxes. Higgins says that the committee should repeal the provision replace it with one that tells insurance companies to bring executive in line with reality. He then reveals that United healthcare is being sued by the Department of Justice for fraud, saying that United healthcare is overcharging the Medicare program.
