New York Congressman Adriano Espaillat says post-hurricane Maria of Puerto Rico is a living nightmare for over a month, that as Congress considers tax reform and attempts to assist the wealthiest with Hansen tax breaks in elimination of the estate tax, Congress must not shelf or forget the unfolding nightmare in Puerto Rico. Espaillat says the situation is more dangerous and the death tolls continue to rise, including one government report that morning of 249 deaths, including by leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that affects humans and animals, and that is of a week earlier. 14 people had committed suicide out of desperation amid the disaster, which he repeats SOS, SOS, assistance needed for the Caribbean Katrina.
