Congresswoman Leger Fernandez says renewable energy possibilities rejected by budget reconciliation package then set to pass House

New Mexico Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez says at a news conference with House Natural Resources Committee Democrats on energy and environment provisions in a budget reconciliation package known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that their people in the district are exhausted and ask whether it will keep getting hot and whether they will keep going through droughts, wondering why they are not protecting la madre tierra and the beautiful planet they call home, coming from a place that honors land, air and water and represents a district with the second largest oil development in the country after Texas but also has amazing wind power and ranks first or second in solar power plus geothermal, wanting to develop all those resources while the bill cuts them off from renewable energy possibilities.
