New Mexico Congressman Teresa Leger Fernandez says in floor debate on a procedural resolution providing for action on a resolution to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for refusal to comply with law and breach of public trust that the Wall Street Journal editorial board having written that grandstanding is easier than governing, the effort was political symbolism and theater, republicans have refused to provide resources and legal changes needed for a secure border and instead a clown show directed by Marjorie Taylor Greene with the power to stop work in Congress. Later defeated by a 214-215 vote, a motion to reconsider the vote on the impeachment resolution was entered.
