- I'm the author of Devil May Care / Want to say a few quick words of thank you to the Royal Navy / Very much hope you wont be shooting down any hostile aircraft over Newbury because that's my home town / It is a real pleasure to be on board the very ship on which Bond served / Ian Fleming's connection with the Royal Navy will be talked about by his niece Lucy Williams / Thanks also our super model Tuli who looked so fantastic walking across the gang plank when she must have been drenched to the skin / She also modelled for the cover of the book / I would very much like to thank the Fleming Family for asking me to write this book / Lucy Williams and Kate Grimond have run these centenary celebrations with a tremendous enthusiasm / Made it fun for an outsider like me to be part of the centenary celebrations / Would also like to thank Bentley cars who drove my literary agent and I here / Was Bond's own car of choice / Was his private car / The Aston Martin was his was a work car
