- Can remember Uncle Ian's books being delivered by a postman on a bicycle so this has upped the ante / Thanks helicopter display team / Commander Ian Fleming would have been 100 tomorrow and we wanted to mark his centenary with a celebration of his writing and creation of Bond who has given a lot of pleasure to people over the years / Wanted to thank the six extraordinary actors who have brought James Bond to life and thank Cubby Broccoli also / Bond was born during Ian's war time service and in his house in Jamaica in 1952 / Ian's recipe for a successful thriller was simple - you have to get the reader to turn the page / Sebastian has fulfilled those requirements in spades and has written an adventure with a sense of clear and present danger for James Bond/ 'Devil May Care' is a fantastic tribute to ian for his centenary / Thank you very much Sebastian
