Nerve pathways involved in vision - HD stock video
Animation of the nerve signals and pathways involved in the human visual sense. When light arrives at the eyes, it is focussed by the lens and cornea onto the retina at the back of the eye. This converts the light into nerve signals, which pass to the visual cortex (green) of the brain through the optic nerves. The nerves cross at the optic chiasm, and the signals from the left of the visual field are passed to the right of the brain, and vice versa. This allows the brain to construct a 3D image from the 2D information produced by each eye
