- Q - what do you think people will see in South Africa when they come for this World Cup?
- A - All sections of our communities are now mending government institutions, they will also see the spirit of nation-building and reconciliation manifesting itself in every section of our community, they will see that we have now thrown the doors of education open for every child irrespective of his colour, we are feeing no less than 5m needy children free of charge, from this year education for grade one has been free and compulsory, they will see programmes of renewal in which we are now introducing fresh and clean water for rural communities which have never had those privileges... what we promised in the run up to the elections is now beginning to be implemented, we are treating children under 6 giving them free medical care, all this will indicate that we are now in a new South Africa
