Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse says in first floor speech after Russia invaded Ukraine that in applauding the bravery of Ukrainians not to overlook the humanity of Russians who would also die, freedoms battle not with Russian moms who did not even know their boys were deployed nor women who would not desire to have a dictator Putin send their sons to ruin, human beings made in the image of God dying and Vladimir Putin alone bears responsibility, his evil ambitions destroying not just Ukrainian bodies and souls but also Russian bodies and souls, the chosen war of aggression by Putin disgusting, if he extra care for anything bigger than his ego like his people or his nation, the generations of Russians who would be impoverished he would find an offramp as a bigger man would do, Ukraine not the aggressor but people fighting for their survival because Putin again given them no other choice and his thugs would keep on killing innocents until they were expelled from its borders, obviously not knowing how history would unfold but truth on the Ukrainian side, the boys of Snake Island and Volodymyr Zelensky and the broader Ukrainian national resistance mounting a defense of freedom unlike anything that West had seen since the end of the Cold War.
