Senator Sasse calls racial minority versus police a false binary choice
Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse says at a press conference to introduce the Justice Act policing reform bill that it was a false binary to set up the issue as a debate between people of color and law enforcement who were trying to maintain public trust which starts by trying to narrow differences in figure out what can be done to move forward together, so the fact the bill would be on Senate floor the next week was a big deal after Senator Tim Scott and teams working around the clock to get to where the leader would decide to change the floor schedule, a chance to move forward.
