Mark Ronson hosts private studio session for children at Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity
Musician, DJ and producer, Mark Ronson hosted a private studio session for Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity in London on Tuesday 31 May. The event took place at Metropolis Studios where children aged 6-17, were treated to one-to-one mentoring, before coming together to record a special version of Mark's huge hit, Uptown Funk. Amongst the children were: Ella (8) from Lancashire who was diagnosed with renal failure when she was born. Ella loves to sing and dance and is at her happiest when she is performing. Alfie (13) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2015. He plays the piano, guitar and has won competitions for his incredible talented voice. Lexie (15) from Surrey was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood eye cancer. She comes from a music loving family and plays guitar. Dylan (17) from Teeside is an aspiring rap artist who worked with Mark to write and record a rap for the track. The other children involved were: Tia-Mae (9 ) from Kent, Eden (6) from Welwyn Garden City, Harvey (10) from Fareham, Murad (17) from East London and Ronnie (10) from Kent.
