Executives Enjoy Musical Performances in Celebration of the Party Congress
PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA – MAY 11: A musical performance was held on May 11 to celebrate the North Korean Workers' Party Congress in central Pyongyang, North Korea. Musical groups representing the country, such as the all-female Moranbong Band, and the Chongbong Band, a light music group, gave combined performances, which were also open to foreign correspondents visiting North Korea. The performance was attended by Kim Yong nam, the President of the Presidium of The Supreme People's Assembly, and members of the leadership elected at the party convention, among others. Video footage of the long-range ballistic missile launched in February was also projected onto the background screen of the stage.
