Senator Schmitt says fighting crime must not be partisan regardless of zip code
Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt says at a press conference in support of a resolution to nullify revised criminal code in Washington, DC, that it was important to keep in mind beyond just mandatory minimums and maximums and a lot of the language and statistics that get thrown out there but that real people are suffering, it's incumbent upon us to step up and do something about it which he thinks not for a minute needs to be a partisan issue since in part no one would ever accuse the mayor of DC who vetoed the bill of being a Republican, but the issues cuts across socio economic categories, party labels, that it was their opportunity to stand up and fight for the people who deserve protection no matter what their zip code.
