Massachusetts Representative Ayanna Pressley says at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing with pharmaceutical executives about drug pricing that the lack of access to affordable life saving medicine was an injustice representing economic violence in an attack on the basic principle that healthcare was a fundamental human right, the Seventh Congressional District had the highest rate of new diagnoses of multiple myeloma and black residents was more than twice as likely to die from the disease than white residents.
