TRUMBULL COUNTY, OHIO - JANUARY 16: march 15, 2007, lunchtime, dispatched? yes. recall address? on 9th street, west side of town. recall reason? check welfare of mr hoerig. is that location familiar with? yes. been there a few times. not where he lvies there but before that. what county? trumbull. what happened when you got there? i was sent to check welfare, pulled in driveway and pickup truck in there. went up to door, rang , knocked. no answer. went to front window and looked inside but couldnt see anything. went around to other doors, all lpcked. called back and had parents give me persmission to go in. they said to go in. they got to scene. they said go in. so i went around behind on west side to sliding door that opened 4 inches. got a tool to rech around and open it. as i walked in it has the familiar oder of deceased body in house. the parents told me to look, so went downstiars and parents were in living room adn tarp was in there. we looked down and a hand was sticking out of tarp. we figured thats what it was. i pulled tarp up and could see karl fae down, blood coming out of head. calle cheif and told him homicide. he advised me to scure house and called for task force.
