London premiere of film "Lady in the Water"; M. Night Shyamalan (writer and director) interview SOT - partly it was to do something completely different, like a new language almost / I loved the days when you went to a movie and didn't know what you were going to see / went to see Raiders of Lost Ark and didn't know what I was going to see / nowadays we know everything that's going to happen / have this amazing new experience / has lot of magical surrealism in it / apartment building gets caught up in scary magical world / it's about myth that people have to decide whether is true or not / lots of little surprises that build up / re (Mel Gibson) he's a good guy - think that part of him will come out M. Night Shyamalan interview (for ITN) SOT - children lost their mind / haven't seen anything like it before / it was rollercoaster for them, they've seen it four times / (on severing ties with Disney) found really good place to take it to / (on whether he hates critics) - no they're just too sensitive / (on Mel Gibson) - he's inspiring guy to be around / I know next movie, it won't be so big, it's a smaller part PAN to side shot M.
