7/7 London bombings inquest verdict: Emergency services reaction oustide court; ENGLAND: London: EXT Assistant Commissioner Chris Allison (Metropolitan Police) statement SOT - Today should think of the friends and family of those who were unlawfully murdered on July 7th 2005 / Throughout last 5 months Metropolitan Police have sought to assist Coroner to enable answers to be given to the many questions people have had / We sincerely hope we can at least have given some element of closure / I am exceptionally proud of the work that was done by men and women from Metropolitan Police service, both on the day and in the weeks and months following / We have had the report this morning with a number of recommendations, we will take the report away, we will read it and respond quickly and appropriately Allison away, press filming Chief Constable Andrew Trotter (British Transport Police) statement SOT - We have had the conclusion today of the inquest into the murder of 52 people in that dreadful atrocity in 2005 / The memory of that day will be seared on the minds of all of us who were involved / Thoughts with the victims and their families / We have heard the findings and will take the opportunity to read the report and look at recommendations / Would like to pay tribute not only to the police officers but all other blue light services and the London Underground staff / Most importantly, those members of the public who found themselves in an awful situation having to deal with unprecedented horror, and the bravery and initiative that they showed that day is something that gives us courage to face the challenge of the future Trotter away Assistant Commissioner Frank Armstrong (City of London Police) statement SOT - Today our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims who lost their lives on 7th July 2005 / Our thought are also with the survivors / We will consider Lady Justice Hallett's report and recommendations in detail and after ...
