- If you'd seen me back at the start I was a stumbling bum on stage, nervous, stammering, couldn't hold the story together, shaking as I read from the page. It's taken me a long time to work out how to do it and to work out what structure works best for the hour that I'm on stage and the same goes for radio and TV if I'm being interviewed. It's taken me a while to get in a position where I can talk on television without getting the screaming abdabs and running away
