Kumamoto Mscot Makes Surprise Appearance in Tokyo
TOKYO, JAPAN - May 17: Kumamoto Prefecture mascot "Kumamon" hugs a customer outside of Tokyo's Ginza Kumamotokan, an "antenna shop" run by the prefectural government, on May 17, 2016, during a surprise appearance to thank customers for their support following powerful earthquakes in the region since mid-April. Many visitors have purchased local specialties at the shop in hope of supporting the disaster-hit southwestern Japan area, with daily sales increasing about four times compared to those before the quakes.
