Japan: Rainbow Appears During New Emperor's Enthronement 2
Just as the new emperor of Japan, Emperor Naruhito of the Chrysanthemum Throne, was being enthroned and delivering his enthronement speech, a rainbow appeared over Tokyo, after incessant rains since the night before. For a brief moment, the rain let up and a rainbow appeared. Locals believed that the emperor is being blessed by the god Amaterasu on this occasion. Emperor Naruhito already started his reign on May 1 but the official ceremony called the 'Sokui No Rei' is being done today. 25 sec video . Video Location: Ojima-Komatsugawa Park in Edogawa Ward in Tokyo, Japan. (Footage by @mihoanela/Spectee via Getty Images UGC)
