Julian Assange on rape allegations
Julian Assange SOT defending himself against rape allegations. Assange is the founder of the whistleblower site Wikileaks, and became the subject of controversy in 2010 when the site published classified U.S. diplomatic cables concerning international affairs. Here he is defending himself against Swedish rape allegations during an interview in front of Ellingham Hall. This interview was held the day after Assange was released after nine days in a London prison. SOT: "It is an incredible allegation of rape and in the beginning, double rape reported around the world. In fact, according to Google if you look on the internet, ah, my name is mentioned in one tenths of the mention of the word rape ah, all the way back to pages about Helen of Troy. So this has been a very successful smear campaign so far. But I think its days are numbered and people are starting to wonder."
