John Enwistle on The Who influencing mod fashion revival; 1979
John Entwistle, bassist for the band, The Who, interviewed at The Lyceum Ballroom in London at the Quadrophenia Fashion show. John comments, "Suddenly Pop Art and Op Art have started becoming a big thing. And we pioneered that with the Union Jack jackets and, um, t-shirts with targets on, and stuff like that. And we got ignored completely, no one remembered The Who was instigating that, and now we figure, well if there's going to be a new mod culture, why shouldn't we partake in some way."
