Japan's Ten New Ministers Express Their Views

TOKYO, JAPAN - OCT. 7: Japan's ten new ministers, appointed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on October 7 as he reshuffled his cabinet, expressed their views in the press conference. Yoshihide Suga, Chief Cabinet Secretary who retained the post also attended. Newly appointed Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Hiroshi Moriyama said he felt much responsibility in assuming the post as Japan's agriculture has come to an extremely vital juncture as just-agreed Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement is set to allow more farm imports from abroad when Japan's farming population is ageing ever faster. Moriyama stressed, however, that Japan's farm products are very highly evaluated abroad and their exports need to be promoted.
