Astronaut Robot Reports Its Guinness Talking Record Made In Space
TOKYO, JAPAN – MAR. 27: A Japanese humanoid robot has been listed in the Guinness World Records for communicating aboard the International Space Station (ISS) - the highest point ever - by successfully "talking" with its crew members including Japan's top astronaut Koichi Wakata. The robot, known as KIROBO and developed by The University of Tokyo, Toyota Motor Co. and other groups, has returned to the Earth in February after it was lifted up in 2013 by Konotori 4, a Japanese satellite to ISS. On Friday March 27, an open session was held to introduce KIROBO's achievements at "Miraikan", National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in southern Tokyo.
