Israeli warplanes fly low over Beirut during Nasrallah's funeral
BEIRUT, LEBANON - FEB. 23: Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over Beirut on Sunday (Feb. 23) during the funeral of former Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Sept. 27, 2024.
Israeli warplanes made two low-level overflights of Beirut's Camille Chamoun stadium during the funeral of slain Hezbollah leader Nasrallah.
The first overflight took place after his body had been brought to the stadium, and the second while Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem was delivering a speech.
Following the maneuvers by the Israeli aircraft, those attending the funeral chanted slogans such as "Death to Israel" in protest.
There were also reports of Israeli drones flying over Beirut during the ceremony. (Footage by Mohamad Zanaty /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
