Israel detains 5 Palestinian kids in West Bank
JERUSALEM, PALESTINE - MARCH 10: Israeli police on Wednesday, March 10, detained five Palestinian kids in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.
The kids aged between 8-13 were reportedly collecting cardoons near the illegal Jewish settlement Havat Maon.
The settlers called the police who came and detained the kids.
The Israeli police meanwhile said the children were on a private land and that they were released soon after the detention.
The Israeli army usually carries out incursions into West Bank cities and towns, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Israel is holding about 4,500 Palestinian prisoners, including 37 women, 140 minors, and about 450 administrative detainees, according to official Palestinian statements. (Footage by Stringer/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
