Interview with Sir Oswald Mosley

Interview with Sir Oswald Mosley; ***ALSO AVAILABLE AS FS120158013*** ENGLAND: London: LAP (London Airport): INT CU Sir Oswald Mosley (Former Fascist Head of the British Union Movement) SOF: - We condemn entirely violence towards coloured people. We always have and always will. Get us nowhere. Force solves nothing, in fact in the modern world it can destroy everything. At the same time it's no good simply suppressing the causes of forces. You have got to solve the problem which gave rise to the recent race troubles. - (Q: Is it true you want to get rid of all the coloured people in this country?) Yes I want to send them back home. It is a problem which can easily be solved. All we have to do is buy sugar again from Jamaica. Send them back home to good jobs and good conditions. - (Q: Do you think if you advocate that policy in your campaigns it will increase racial tension in this country?) On the contrary, I have spoken in those terms in meetings where many Negroes were present. They have agreed with me. They would much rather be home in their sunshine than in out November fogs. - (Q: This campaign of yours, is it to be the biggest since the war? Why have you chosen this moment for it?) Arranged the meetings many months ago, we would have the beginning of Britain's recession. Nothing whatsoever to do with the recent problem.
