Horrors return to Leeds for headline set
Interview with Faris Badwan from The Horrors ahead of their headline set on the Festival Republic at Leeds Festival.
He looks back on chipping his tooth on a disco ball the first time the band played the festival, talks about how cool it was to be on the bill with Death From Above who were the first band he ever saw live in London, saw he always went to Reading as a kid and managed to do it with no ticket, money, tent or train ticket, says even then he never considered being in a band was something he could do, says the weirdest thing that’s happened on tour and continues to do so is a woman who follows them around the world claiming to be one of their wives, talks about being given a set of voodoo dolls as a gift from a fan and talks about the band’s fantasy Premier League
