Short statement from Louise Speed / Gary's death made 27 Nov 2011 worst day of our lives / Have been dark moments since
Now have to adapt to future without husband, father, brother and son / His memory shines brightly in our thoughts and will remember wonderful times we shared / Thankfully, some good often emerges / We feel blessed to have had true friends to help us come to terms with the circumstances / Funeral was an occasion of great sadness and grief / But a day we were able to say farewell to him in our own personal and private way / We wish to state deep appreciation for genuine and sincere accolades paid to Gary / Grateful to media for respecting family's privacy / Help and encouragement from so many individuals / We must recognise some of those concerned publicly / Thank Cheshire Constabulary / The way the hearing has been conducted by Mr Rheinberg / Practical help from Melissa Chappell, more than just a professional agent / League Manager's Association / Thankful to all of you and greatly appreciate what you've done for us / Thanks to FA of Wales / Gary Speed memorial match against Costa Rica to be held at Cardiff City stadium on Wed 29 Feb / Will give everybody opportunity to attend, celebrate his life and pay their final respects / We look forward to seeing you there .
