Japan: Heavy Snowstorm Batters Northern Region Causing School Closure, Travel Disruptions

Inclement wintry weather has been battering northern Japan. Hokkaido saw intermittent snowfall on Thursday, January 25 especially in Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk coastal areas. The northernmost prefecture also saw strong winds create blizzard conditions with low visibilities.
