MCU - In an interview Joe Girardi Yankees manager and Jason Zilo The Media Relations Director speak about HOPE (Helping Others Persevere & Excel) week. This community outreach program started in 2009. Zilo comments on using the notoriety of the Yankees to do something good for the people. He says, "I mean we have a platform and we need to use it and um I think our players and our organization realizes that and uh it's a blessing for all of us to be apart of it. There was never any goal. I mean really the goal was just to make people happy."
